Partner 3 (P3) belongs to a unit (UMR 7221 Evolution of Endocrine Regulations) involving CNRS and Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle (Director: Pr G. Levi). The research group (H. Tostivint, F. Quan) is specialized in the study of the evolution of multigenic families of neuropeptides in vertebrates and more especially in the impact of whole genome duplications in this evolution. Its major contributions concerned the somatostatin and urotensin II families. Its current research is focused on the functions of peptides of both families using the zebrafish as a model. H. Tostivint is member of the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (NC-IUPHAR). As a professor at the Museum, he is also strongly involved in ongoing training of teachers in the fields of evolution and biodiversity.
